Bell & Ross Vintage Design

They say if you expect the unexpected you might just be prepared. This is something the dedicated team at Bell & Ross appreciate, with professional designers, engineers and watch makers committed to creating timepieces created with professional use in mind. Their motto is simple – the essentials of each timepiece should never be compromised by the superfluous. More than just another piece of kit, they believe that a watch is a constant ally and so are proud to create models that can withstand extremes.

Drawing inspiration from the history of aviation and military specification each Bell & Ross timepiece is a champion of traditional watchmaking whilst continually looking to the future. Here we shine a spotlight on a selection of our favourite vintage inspired models by the brand.

BRV2-94 BLACK STEEL

BRV2-94 BLACK STEEL

Vintage inspired watches aren’t a new concept at Bell & Ross, with the brand continually championing classic looks designed to last a lifetime. For those who prefer a traditional yet powerful look, the BR V2-94 Black Steel model is the perfect option. The striking satin-polished steel design manages the balance of being both stylish yet practical. First impressions of this pilot watch is that it’s made of sturdy stuff, with the 41mm case proving that it is a tough build. Meanwhile the matt black dial, complete with white Superluminova coated numerals, indices and minute and hour hands, adds a hint of class.

BRV2-92 GARDE COTES

BRV2-92 GARDE COTES

One of the most popular trends in the horological world this year has been to opt for a timepiece boasting a pop of colour – in particular slate grey designs with racy 70s inspired orange touches. With that in mind ROX is thrilled to unveil the BRV2-92 Garde Cotes. It’s a suitably rugged and water resistant professional chronograph inspired by those everyday heroes, the coastguard. The colours aren’t even slavish to a trend – orange is essential to visibility in a greywashed environment. Even the pulsometer is derived directly from the needs of those attending first to stricken casualties.

BRV2-92 BLUE STEEL

Blue designs have also been a key trend in the watch world throughout 2017. Bringing a classic edge to modern horology the hue is Bell & Ross’ nod to French military history with this model inspired by the formal, dress uniforms of Aeronavale officers. The blue dial with gold numerals and indices, coated in white superluminova cuts a charming figure on the wrist while the 41mm steel case brings an additional edge to the timepiece.
