ZENITH AT ROX: SKELETONISED, SUPERCHARGED AND READY FOR THE SPOTLIGHT

27th May 2026

Last week, ROX welcomed clients and collectors for an exclusive showcase of the latest novelties from Zenith, bringing together key releases from Watches & Wonders 2026 and LVMH Watch Week for a first look in Glasgow.

Zenith Chronomaster

Watch launches have become increasingly theatrical over recent years. New materials, new colours and endless limited editions often compete for attention, but every now and then a collection lands that reminds you why certain names continue to matter. Zenith has long occupied that space. Few manufacturers can claim both a heritage movement as influential as El Primero and the confidence to keep evolving it.

Taking centre stage during the roadshow were the latest skeletonised chronographs and Defy novelties, pieces that felt less about simply revealing mechanics and more about celebrating them. Skeletonisation, when done poorly, can feel like design for design’s sake. When done properly, however, it creates something far more engaging — an opportunity to see the architecture of watchmaking itself.

The new Chronomaster Skeleton models were immediate conversation starters throughout the evening. By exposing the mechanics beneath the dial, the watches transformed technical precision into something visual and dynamic. Rather than hiding the movement beneath layers of finishing, Zenith placed it centre stage, allowing every bridge, wheel and detail to become part of the design language.

Alongside them, the Defy collection continued to reinforce its role as Zenith’s more progressive personality. Angular cases, integrated aesthetics and open-worked movements delivered a distinctly contemporary feel, balancing technical watchmaking with an unmistakably modern edge.

More than simply an opportunity to preview new releases before arriving in boutiques, the evening offered guests the chance to spend time with the watches in the way they’re intended to be experienced: on the wrist, under the light and in conversation.

Because ultimately, great watches rarely reveal themselves through press images alone. They need to be worn, handled and discovered. And Zenith’s latest novelties certainly gave people plenty to talk about.
