BRIT AWARDS 2026: A NIGHT OF DAZZLING STYLE, UNFORGETTABLE PERFORMANCES, AND RISING STARS
5th March 2026
The BRIT Awards 2026 made history this year, leaving London for the first time in five decades and lighting up Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena with an evening of high‑impact fashion, powerhouse performances, and landmark wins. Hosted by the ever-charismatic Jack Whitehall, the ceremony delivered an intoxicating blend of glamour, humour, and musical celebration.

A Red Carpet Defined by Boldness, Beauty, and British Fashion Flair
The red carpet shimmered with some of the boldest looks the BRITs have seen in years. From Harry Styles’ fashion‑forward Chanel pinstripe suit to Rosalía’s striking monochrome couture, the evening set a new bar for creative self‑expression.
Among those turning heads was former ROX Magazine cover girl, Roxy Horner, who brought celestial elegance to the carpet. Wearing the dazzling Cosmic Starburst diamond collection from ROX, she embodied modern red‑carpet glamour, standing proudly alongside fiancé and host Jack Whitehall, who matched her star power with signature comedic charm.
Manchester proved the perfect backdrop for a fresh era of BRITs fashion. From futuristic silhouettes to vintage glamour, artists embraced a spectrum of styles that reflected individuality and artistic bravado.
Notably, Scottish talent shone brightly on the carpet as Jacob Alon joined the evening’s standout arrivals, marking a proud moment for Scotland’s burgeoning music identity.
Show-Stopping Performances That Defined the Night
This year’s ceremony showcased one of the most diverse and ambitious performance line-ups in BRITs history.
Harry Styles kicked off the night with a stunning live debut of “Aperture”, marking his dramatic return to the BRITs stage. His electrifying performance set the tone for an evening of high-impact musical storytelling.
Rosalía delivered one of the night’s most talked-about moments with a cinematic performance of “Berghain”, made even more extraordinary by a surprise appearance from Björk. Together, they created a genre‑defying spectacle that moved seamlessly from operatic whispers to throbbing techno.
Emerging artists also seized their moment. Olivia Dean, the night’s breakout star and winner of four major awards, captivated the arena with a heartfelt rendition of “Man I Need”. Her performance solidified her status as one of Britain’s most compelling new voices.
The BRITs also spotlighted global talent, with Sombr, Mark Ronson, Wolf Alice, RAYE, and HUNTR/X each bringing unique sonic textures to the stage.
Jacob Alon: Scotland’s Newest Star Joins a Line of Celebrated BRIT Winners
One of the night’s most meaningful victories came from Jacob Alon, the art‑folk singer‑songwriter from Dunfermline who claimed the prestigious Critics’ Choice Award.
Alon now joins an illustrious lineage of Scottish and British artists—including Adele, Lewis Capaldi, Emeli Sande, Florence + The Machine, and Sam Smith—who previously clinched the prize before rising to international acclaim.
Reflecting on their win, Alon spoke of the emotional weight behind the accolade, sharing how it affirmed the power of music to connect and make a difference. Their debut album, In Limerence, has already garnered Mercury Prize recognition, signalling a bright future for the Scottish talent.
Their proud Scottish roots were on full display—not only in interviews but also on the red carpet, where their appearance reinforced the growing cultural influence of Scotland on the UK music scene.
