On Saturday 14th March, Newcastle once again became the beating heart of generosity, celebration and Northern spirit as the Alan Shearer Foundation Ball returned with its most ambitious production to date. Hosted at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, the evening brought together long‑standing supporters, familiar faces and first‑time guests — all united behind a cause that has transformed lives for two decades.

For ROX, it was a privilege to be part of a night that shimmered with purpose. From the moment guests stepped into the buzzing reception, anticipation filled the room. A curated Khai Khai menu set the tone for an elevated dining experience, while the live entertainment — including a high‑energy set from signer songwriter Tom Grennan — ensured the ballroom was electric from the outset.

This year marked a milestone: twenty years since Alan Shearer’s testimonial sparked the journey that became the Alan Shearer Centre. Two decades of care, compassion and unwavering support for families who rely on the charity’s extraordinary work. That history echoed throughout the night, especially as the total raised soared beyond £165,000 — a testament to the generosity of everyone in the room.

ROX was proud to support once again with the ROX in a BOX, a highlight of the evening that added both sparkle and excitement to proceedings. Beautifully curated diamond pieces lit up the room as guests tried their luck, while the interactive quiz and entertainment kept energy high right through to the after‑party.

Behind the scenes, the night was a true collaboration from Alan’s friends, family and charity supporters. The result was an unforgettable celebration that blended luxury, entertainment and heartfelt purpose in equal measure.

As the lights dimmed and carriages rolled into the early hours, one thing was clear: the Alan Shearer Foundation Ball isn’t just an event. It’s a tradition. A community. A reminder of what can happen when people come together with passion and generosity.
