Friend of ROX and lover all things gold, beauty blogger Rebecca Elland gives us an insight to her beauty and lifestyle regime.

In between jetting off to Paris for Fashion week, styling celebrities in London and compiling the hot list of premium beauty brands you want to know about, we caught up with Golden Whispers Editor and took the plunge into all things luxury in her life.

Your favourite make up item?
My Dior lip glow balm and Elemis Beauty Flash Balm.

Must have piece of jewellery?
I have been collecting vintage chokers since I was 15 years old. I inherited all my Grandmother’s and now I love hunting down pretty pieces in antique shops. I do hate how mainstream the choker has become though! I always pair day to day outfits with delicate silver pieces – fine bracelets and stack rings are a favourite.

Could not leave the house without?
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. It is the solution to all life’s problems… I use it on chapped lips, rashes, dry skin, eyebrows, nail cuticles and as a glossy highlighter on the face.

Your skincare regime?
I use Dior’s Gentle Cleansing Milk to clean my face day to day but I will use Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish with the hot water cloth for a more intense scrub. I then splash with cold water to tighten my pores. I sweep Micellar Water over problematic skin areas and then apply a facial tanner. My favourites are the Xen Tan Clear Collection face tanner and Lancome’s Flash Bronzer, which I hear is a Strictly Come Dancing favourite! You can’t beat Crème De La Mer’s Moisturising Cream and I always finish my routine by applying brow and lash oil which stimulates hair growth.

Worst beauty blunder?
It has to be the ‘foundation lip’ trend, badly matched foundation tones and backcombed hair. In summary, the early 2000’s!

Best beauty finding?
A concealer by a brand called W7 Go – it costs about £5 and it is incredible for brightening under the eyes and correcting skin tones.

What is luxury to you?
Luxury encapsulates many things but to me true luxury is freedom. Being able to indulge in time, explore new surroundings and pamper yourself is what we call living Life In Gold.

What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time?
I am often working creatively in my spare time but when I truly get time to myself I love to make banana pancakes, a pot of green tea and catch up on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills while my boyfriend watches the football! I also adore cooking for loved ones, I really enjoy having everybody over for food and Champagne.

Your celebrity role model?
I admire women in the public eye who live honestly and genuinely despite their successes and lifestyle. For me Rosie Huntington-Whitely encapsulates this but I also fall in love with people for their humour and so I have to say Erin Foster is up there.

Your favourite cocktail?
I only ever drink Espresso Martinis. I need them to keep me awake!
