AN UNFORGETTABLE DAY
28th August 2018
As royal wedding fever sweeps across the nation we discover two unique venues sure to provide the perfect backdrop for your own unforgettable day.
COTTIERS THEATRE, GLASGOW
Nestled in the heart of Glasgow leafy west end, you’d be forgiven for thinking Cottiers Theatre wasn’t anything different to any other wedding venue. Built in 1865 by William Leiper with ornate design work, including breathtaking stained glass windows and stone work, by Daniel Cottier, the venue was originally Dowanhill Parish Church. However, nowadays the versatile space is a bustling theatre and popular wedding venue for couples planning a quirky affair to capture the best of their personalities.
Apart from the opportunity to wrap up in soft and cosy fabrics, tying the knot during the colder months means gorgeous lighting for photographs, more-ish meals, red wine and of course the potential of having a white wedding – literally.
There’s nothing more romantic than saying ‘I Do’ against a crisp white background of soft, fluffy snow. However, the season has plenty more to offer than frost and ice. Winter weddings are packed with character, offering a chance to indulge in a truly hearty and luxurious affair.
