To paraphrase a male columnist who obviously thought they were being hilarious: “Women are
fashionable right now”.

Whether it is Dior’s T-shirts proclaiming Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s truth that “We Should All be Feminists Now” or  Hollywood’s finest turning the red carpet into a protest site or the numerous opinion pieces trying to work out where we are now after claims that the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump have made many of us say #MeToo – women and everything it means to bear that moniker are in the spotlight in an unprecedented way.

Which is why, of all the themes we could have gone with for this latest edition of ROX Woman, it had to be a celebration of the female in all her forms.

We have brilliant businesswomen in the shape of Chloe Milligan who offers an Insiders Guide to Glasgow. There’s the fearless fighter pilot and Bremont ambassador Carey Lohrenz who was the first-ever woman to fly an F-14 Tomcat, which basically means if they ever remade Top Gun Kelly McGuinness would be flying the planes not cooking Tom Cruise dinner.

When it comes to creating beautiful jewellery that is the perfect fit for a queen[consort]-in-waiting (Kate Middleton is a huge fan) Catherine Zoraida shows us how, while Carolina Bucci’s collaboration with Audemars Piguet proves that allegedly telling a male CEO he knows nothing about women’s watches can sometimes be a job clincher.

However, the pages aren’t just littered with the product of an XY chromosomal pairing, there are some XXs in there too – the likes of Alessandro Michele and Michael Kors, who know what women want and how to design for them.

But essentially this ROX Woman is a celebration of every facet of femininity from the sharp suited to the diamond-sparkling and everything else in between.
