Master of Style and Precision

Time is becoming increasingly more precious these days.

From juggling career progression and family commitments to making time for a social life, there’s a lot for the modern-man to contend with on a day-to-day basis. At times it can seem like there aren’t enough hours in the day, reminding us all that time is of the essence now more than ever.

Master your time management with the Zenith Defy El Primero 21.

Master of Style and Precision

Renowned for creating remarkable timepieces precision is intertwined in Zenith’s DNA and the new Defy El Primero 21 is a contemporary twist on a classic timepiece. It’s no secret that the Defy (originally spelled Defi) has been part of Zenith’s horological history since the manufacture was established by Georges Favre-Jacot in 1865.

However, it was in 1969 that they dropped the i and the timepiece firmly secured its place as one of the world’s most accurate models – all thanks to its El Primero movement. But the model is back and more determined than ever to ensure ultimate accuracy.

The 44mm case may pay homage to the El Primero of old, however, that’s where the comparison ends and this timepiece takes bold steps into the future.

Master of Style and Precision - Zenith Defy El Primero 21 Movement

The open worked dial of the forward thinking design unveils the beating heart of the watch, showcasing the new El Primero 21 caliber. But what else can fans expect? Well this model also features not one but two escapements, the first beating a 36,000 vph and the second at 360,000vph for the chronograph, each with a balance spring made of new patented material Carbon Matrix Nanotube. Such is the precision of this timepiece, the chrono hand actually runs around the dial once every second when in motion!

A true master of time and style, this luxury watch is accurate to 1/100th of a second.

ZENITH DEFY 21 WATCH REVIEW

The Zenith El Primero is steeped in horological history. However, while many may be familiar with the history of the El Primero they perhaps might not be quite as knowledgeable about the name Defy. The Defy was the original design that Zenith had around the time they moved into their manufacture in 1865 – it was actually spelt with an I back then and only changed to a y in 1969.

Zenith has long been a brand to impress and inspire. With its red guiding star, it has continued to push the boundaries of watchmaking since founder Georges Favre-Jacot revolutionised the world of Haute Horlogerie in 1865. He was the first to unite all aspects of watchmaking under one roof, creating the concept of a Manufacture.
