Situated at the foot of the Alps, Brescia is a beautiful, historic city in northern Italy known around the world as the home of the Milie Miglia Cup motor race. The original speed race took place yearly up until 1957 then, unfortunately, racing around the streets in vintage motor cars was no longer permitted! Now, the historic Milie Miglia is held annually as a regularity race. This year’s 90th Anniversary event takes place over 4 days with competitors taking on a route from Brescia-Rome-Brescia. Scotland’s Gray brothers are hotly tipped favourites with Richie eager for his 2nd opportunity to make the team, while Jonny is hoping for his debut. The brothers have recently been appointed Bremont ambassadors, due to their shared ethos of constantly being “tested beyond endurance”. In July 2017, The 146th Open will be held at Royal Birkdale in Southport.
