4th December 2018

ROX took to the red carpet with Scotland’s singing elite on Saturday (December 1) bringing a touch of Diamonds & Thrills to the SSE Scottish Music Awards 2018.

Stars including Susan Boyle, Snow Patrol, Amy MacDonald (who was proudly rocking ROX Tribal jewellery) and Tom Grennan were dressed to impress for the 20th anniversary of the awards, hosted by Still Game funny man Sanjeev Kohli at the iconic Scottish Events Campus (SEC) in Glasgow.

ROX was delighted to sponsor the Best UK Artist category with rising star Tom Grennan scooping the prestigious accolade. Speaking of the awards, ROX Managing Director Kyron Keogh said: “It is an honour to sponsor and present the award for Best UK Artist at the 20th SSE Scottish Music Awards in this anniversary year.

“Having the opportunity to be involved in this year’s awards, on our doorstep, is music to our ears. Huge congratulations to Tom Grennan on his award this evening. It is testament to his incredible talent and a sign of the exciting future that lies ahead for him.

“ROX has long been a champion of the best of the Scottish music scene. Over the last 10 years we’ve hosted live performances at ROX events with Emeli Sande, Lewis Capaldi, Nina Nesbitt and Labrinth all taking to the stage.”

Annie Lennox, Susan Boyle and Mark Knopfler were also big winters at the star-studded ceremony with Boyle and Lennox both inducted into the Scottish Music Hall of Fame at the musical extravaganza.

The SSE Scottish Music Awards has been the main fundraising event for Scottish music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins – an organisation which provides music therapists and sessions to those who need it most – since 1998. And ROX was thrilled to help support fundraising efforts with our ROX in a Box extravaganza – with the lucky winner taking home a shimmering diamond pendant.
