BREGUET - A TRAVELLING EXHIBITION

For the first time in Scotland, we were treated to the travelling exhibition of the exclusive Tourbillon timepieces from historically elegant watchmakers Breguet. Guests were among a select few to meet Breguet’s watch Master Craftsman to gain insight into the immaculate detail involved in making a Breguet watch allowing them to see the care and precision involved in making a Breguet timepiece.
Guests were treated to delicious Michelin Star canapés made by Executive Chef Craig Sandle of the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh and a decadent Laurent-Perrier Champagne reception.
Breguet have been making elite timepieces since 1775 and one of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s first self-winding watches was sold to Queen Maria-Antoinette making the Bregeut Classique Self-Winding Watch one of the most desirable in the range. The original watch was unfortunately stolen in 1983 from a Jerusalem museum which triggered expert watchmaker Nicolas G. Hayek to precisely reproduce the watch in 2005. However, just before the new watch’s completion in late 2007, the original Marie-Antoinette watch was recovered. The story continues for one of the world’s most famous watches…

BREGUET | INVENTOR OF THE TOURBILLON
As a brand that represents a great historical and cultural heritage as well as avant-garde technology, Breguet has always had a fascinating ability to innovate. ROX PRESENTS… THE INAUGURAL BREGUET DINNER
To celebrate master watchmakers Breguet, VIP guests were invited to an evening celebrating haute horlogerie, expert craftsmanship and fine dining in the Thrill Room in Glasgow’s Argyll Arcade. Guests enjoyed a performance by Katherine Bryan of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, an after dinner speech by Adventurer Chris Moon and world famous Champagne Laurent-Perrier UK to accompany each course. The evening concluded with exquisite Louis XIII Rémy Martin Cognac tasting.
