Inspired by one of the leading female figures of World War Two the Bremont Solo-32-LC is an unforgettable timepiece. Named after Lettice Curtis, widely regarded as the most remarkable female pilot of the Second World War, the British made watch is a fitting tribute to one of the nation’s most renowned women. Ms Curtis truly was a force to be reckoned with, flying a range of military combat aircraft with the Air Transport Auxiliary and was the first woman to fly a four-engine bomber. Flying continually throughout the war it was reported that Ms Curtis took to the sky 13 days in a row with two off for 62 consecutive months between July 1940 and September 1945.

However, despite her prowess in the air Ms Curtis never viewed her success and talents as more than just a job. It is reported she recalled after the war: “You didn’t stop and think whether it was daunting. It was just flying. I loved flying and wanted to continue. If you did badly, you would be terrified or thrown out. It was only one job in the war. People were doing all sorts of thing.”

A woman who made every minute count she continued to spread her wings long after WW2, eventually grounding herself in 1995. As a brand proud to celebrate the best of British Bremont has captured this humble charm in the simple yet classic Solo-32-LC.

The 18 carat rose gold design leaves a striking impression on the wrist without being over powering. Perfecting the balance of being both powerful and feminine the 32mm design is complete with a rose gold pin buckle and metal dial with blue steel hands. Boasting a modified calibre 9” BE-10AE automatic chronometer it is a timepiece that champions precision and has been C.O.S.C chronometer tested.
