HUBLOT INTRODUCES A LANDMARK 5+5 YEAR WARRANTY

1st January 2026

Buying a luxury watch is as much an act of trust as it is a purchase, and Hublot has just given its customers a considerably bigger reason to trust in the longevity of their timepiece. The Swiss watchmaker has introduced a new “5+5” warranty structure, offering up to ten years of protection on every new watch – one of the most generous guarantees in the industry.

What’s Changing

From 1 January 2026, every new Hublot watch purchased (with the exception of Hublot Certified Pre-Owned models) comes with a five-year warranty as standard, covering any functional issue resulting from a manufacturing defect. That alone marks a significant jump from the two-year warranty that applied to watches bought before the end of 2025, and it puts Hublot’s baseline cover well ahead of the industry norm.

The real headline, though, is what happens next. By registering their watch during that initial five-year period and joining Hublotista, Hublot’s owners’ community, customers can unlock a further five-year extension – taking total coverage to a full ten years from the date of purchase. It’s a simple formula, neatly summed up in Hublot’s own words: “5+5 years. Guaranteed for 10.”

Owners of watches purchased before 2026, along with Connected watches and Certified Pre-Owned pieces, remain on the previous two-year warranty, though registering with Hublotista still adds a further year, bringing their total to three.

Why It Matters

A watch is a long-term investment, and warranty length has always been one of the more practical – if less glamorous – ways brands compete for a buyer’s confidence. By doubling its standard warranty and offering a clear path to a decade of cover, Hublot is sending a strong signal about the durability of its watchmaking and its confidence in the manufacture behind it, from the Nyon factory floor to every in-house calibre it produces.

It also rewards engagement rather than simply extending cover to everyone automatically. Registering a watch and becoming part of Hublotista gives Hublot a direct relationship with its owners, and gives owners, in return, a tangible incentive to register early rather than let the paperwork slide to the back of a drawer.

Importantly, the terms of the warranty itself don’t change between the standard period and the Hublotista extension – the ten years are treated identically, covering manufacturing defects throughout. Any repair work carried out by an authorised service centre also comes with its own separate twelve-month guarantee on the parts and labour involved, adding another layer of reassurance long after the original warranty period has passed.

How to Register

Extending to the full ten years is straightforward: customers create a Hublot account, register their watch using its serial number, and join the Hublotista community to activate the additional five years. The International Warranty itself is valid worldwide, whether the watch was purchased in a Hublot boutique or through an authorised retailer such as ROX.

For anyone considering a Hublot for the first time, or looking to add to a growing collection, this new 5+5 structure is a compelling reason to buy with confidence – a decade of protection on a watch built to be worn, and lived in, for decades more.

LUXURY WATCH EDIT

As the gendered codes of watch design ever-shift and overlap (while core catalogues de-gender themselves wholesale) a merciful upshot is that overtly masculine brands or hero collections find themselves with licence to get more decorative than ever.
